Much to her characters’ dismay, Michele can most often be found walking barefoot through Hyde Park, hems mingling with mud as she crouches down to pluck a flower from the ground. Despite being born into a middle class family an ocean away, she is no stranger to England or its peers. By day, she crunches numbers; by night, she attends balls and soirees, slipping in and out of the shadows as she searches for moments to include in her next novel.
